The Queensland and Australian Governments fund projects in the Mackay Whitsunday region designed to improve the profitability and productivity of the local sugarcane industry and the water quality leaving farms throughout its catchment areas.
Currently, the below projects are being delivered to support growers in the region:
Between 2020 - 2024 the Mackay Whitsunday Water Quality Program was funded by the partnership between the Australian Government’s Reef Trust and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation.
